This program has been designed to prepare graduates for a successful career in a variety of business related fields such as management, marketing and international business. Through content delivery with an emphasis on the practical aspects, completion of this course prepares graduates who are work-ready and well placed to seek employment opportunities in industry, commerce, government and the not-for-profit sector. Business skills service all sectors of the economy from large to small scale businesses both public and private. Graduates can fill roles at a variety of levels with ample opportunity to build a career that caters for those who aspire to important and highly paid roles such as in management and/or marketing at local national and/or business with an international focus. Graduates with professional business qualifications are well placed to take on positions that will lead to leadership roles in established as well as developing enterprises.

Structure

Structure is based on 6 semesters (each of 15 weeks duration including a midsemester break - 1 week - and 2 assessment/examination weeks) with 4 subjects of 10 credit points undertaken each semester. It comprises: 8 compulsory core foundation core subjects which provide an introduction to key areas of business studies 8 discipline specific specialisation subjects and 8 electives. To qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Business a candidate must accrue at least 240 credit points, including satisfactory completion of all the core foundation and accounting specialisation subjects.
