A close read of the latest edition of The Good Universities Guide reveals that Southern Cross University is one of several small universities delivering on key measures of student experience and graduate outcomes. Southern Cross graduates reported a slightly higher Starting Salary than the national average, ($57,000 vs $56,000) and report higher rates of satisfaction than the national average in Student Support and Skills Development, (76.1 per cent vs 72.0 per cent and 81.5 per cent vs 81.2 per cent respectively). Agriculture graduates from Southern Cross are also the equal highest paid for their field in the country, reporting a Starting Salary of $60,000 — level with Murdoch University in Western Australia and ahead of the national average for agriculture graduates ($53,000).

Five-star field of study highlights

Southern Cross University is strong in two fields, achieving three five-star ratings in both the humanities, culture and social sciences, and psychology fields of study. Student Support was the measure that Southern Cross University achieved the most five-star results, reaching the top 20 percent in agriculture and environmental studies, humanities, culture and social sciences, psychology, and law and paralegal studies.
