The 2018 edition of The Good Universities Guide reveals a place at UWA is the most coveted in the state and the third most in Australia, with the university rated five stars for Student Demand. UWA also achieved five stars in Student:Teacher Ratio and Starting Salary at the institution level.

UWA excelled at the Starting Salary measure and were top of the pile nationwide for the communications, computing and information systems, dentistry and medicine fields of study.

The University of Western Australia's graduates earned a Starting Salary in the top 20 per cent across five different fields of study. UWA's strongest field of study was communications, achieving five stars in Full-Time Employment and Starting Salary.
