This double degree program will appeal to students who would like to deepen their understanding of contemporary media, while engaging in International Studies. The Bachelor of Media focuses on the latest developments in digital and interactive media, including writing, research and reporting, digital story-telling, radio production and film/video production. International Studies examines global politics from a variety of competing perspectives and allows students to specialise in one of four areas of expertise: International Security; Global Governance and Justice; Rising Powers and Global Citizenship. Students also study a foreign language to enhance their professional opportunities in a globalising world.

Entry Requirements:

SACE with 4 Stage 2 subjects including at least three 20 credit Tertiary Admissions Subjects and a further 20 credit points from recognised studies (or Yr 12 equivalent); Selection via ATAR.

Structure:

Students in their first two years divide their studies equally between the two areas, satisfying the requirements for the first two years of both degrees concurrently. In the following two years, students complete the equivalent of a full year of study each for media and international studies. Students can participate in the Media Internship Program or Arts Internship and are encouraged to study abroad as part of their degree.
