UNE’s Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced) provides an accredited fourth year of study in psychology. Standard entry requirements

Within the past ten years you have completed a Bachelor qualification (AQF Level 7) which includes a full sequence of units in Psychology accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) OR you have completed a Bachelor qualification (AQF Level 7) and a Graduate Diploma (AQF Level 8) which includes a full sequence of units in Psychology accredited by APAC. You have achieved a minimum Credit result in the 200 and 300/400-level units in Psychology in the above qualification. You have completed the unit PSYC472 Advanced Research Methods and Statistics (or equivalent, such as the previous version of this unit, PSYC302).

Recognition

Graduates are eligible for associate membership of the Australian Psychological Society and provisional registration as a psychologist.

Study pathways

Students may be eligible for credit (advanced standing) for previously completed studies.

Further information

Completion of an accredited 4th year in Psychology (Bachelor with Honours / Graduate Diploma) can result in registration as a General Psychologist after completion of a two year internship. Places in the course may be limited and offers restricted to one mode of study in some years.
