Successfully completing this course enables you, as a licensed cabler, to add Optic Fibre Cabling endorsement to your Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Open Registration.All customer cabling work in the telecommunications, fire, security and data industries must be performed by a registered cabler, with all cablers required to register with an Australian Communications and Media (ACMA)-accredited registrar. Cabling providers undertaking structured, optical-fibre or coaxial cabling work on customer premises must have the training competencies (endorsement) relevant to the specialised cabling work.

Standard entry requirements
It is preferable, (but not essential), that you have completed the ACMA (Austel) Open Registration course prior to attending the endorsement courses. However, due to programming arrangements, consideration may be given to completing the endorsement courses prior to the Open Registration course.
