Successful completion of this course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to be able to work effectively as an Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officer with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients in a range of acute health settings. Position titles and job roles of an Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officer may vary between individual hospitals and/or health services. The course addresses the needs of persons working in an acute health setting as a liaison with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients. It may be supplemented by additional training to fully address other aspects of an Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officer’s role.
