This is a flexible program with a strong Mathematics content. It is designed for those wishing to specialise in Mathematics, or for those wanting to develop strong mathematical skills while studying another discipline. Graduates in Mathematics are highly sought after in government, industry and business because they are able to analyse data, produce models and predict future trends in a variety of areas.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Assumed knowledge: HSC Mathematics (2 Unit) or equivalent; Recommended: Mathematics Extension 1 or equivalent; or approved TAFE studies, or another preparatory program, such as Newstep, Open Foundation or Yapug; Selection via ATAR or equivalent

Structure:

240 units in total with at least 60 units of core courses and an 80 unit major.

Study Pathways:

Bonus points may be available to HSC students who have achieved high results in HSC Mathematics. Credit may be available to students who have completed a TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma. Honours is available as an additional year to meritorious students. Postgraduate coursework and research degrees are also possible.
