Structure

To qualify for award of the Master of Mathematical Sciences, students must complete 96 credit points and satisfy all course requirements for the degree outlined in the course structure below. Two Interdisciplinary Mathematics and Statistics subjectsf. Project Study, which is either a 12cp project (both MTST991 and MTST992), or a 6cp project (MTST991 or MTST992) and an additional Advanced Topics and Investigations subjectg. One Further Study subject, which is either an additional Advanced Topics and Investigations subject, an additional Interdisciplinary Mathematics and Statistics subject, GWP 900, or GWP 902 Note that Preparation, Foundation, Advanced Topics and Investigations, Interdisciplinary Mathematics and Statistics subjects lists are given in the curriculum structure.

Standard entry requirements

A bachelor's degree with a major or minor in mathematics or statistics. If applying based on a minor in mathematics or statistics, it must include a minimum of 12 credit points of mathematics or statistics subjects at the 200-level or higher.
